In 2020, at just 16 years old, Justin Neal assumed leadership of his family’s landscaping business while still in high school. The company was founded by his father, Darren Neal Sr., a proud Rondo community member who built one of the few Black-owned small businesses specializing in landscaping, tree services, and snow removal. Over the past six years, Justin has successfully redefined and expanded the business, now offering a comprehensive range of landscaping services throughout the Twin Cities metro area. Known for exceptional customer service, he brings care, pride, and thoughtful problem-solving to every project, ensuring solutions tailored to each client’s needs. Plaid & Patch remains proudly based in Saint Paul’s historic Rondo community and continues to grow while serving its clients with dedication, professionalism, and community pride.
